Earlier this week, I found myself half-lost in a movie theater. One of those spots with seats that lean all the way back. Basically a La-Z-Boy for degens with popcorn fingers.

I was eating spicy sour cream & onion chips (10/10 would burn my tongue again) and watching Bird (2024).

If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s a quiet stunner.

A raw, poetic slice of life from the parts of England most people overlook.
The forgotten corners. The working-class reality. The chaos wrapped in tenderness.

(Not to be dramatic, but it’s like someone shot a Terrence Malick film in a council estate.)

Anyway…

What hit me. Beyond the beautiful soundtrack and cinematography, was this:

Most of the characters in Bird are stuck.
Not by choice. Not because they’re dumb.
But because the system wasn’t built for them to win.

And it made me think about what’s happening right now onchain.

Meanwhile?
